Wild Eye Wanderer — Last updated: August 13, 2026

Wild Eye Wanderer ("the app") is a wildlife photography portfolio app. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.

Summary

What the app collects

AI Assistant questions. If you use the in-app AI assistant, the text of your question is sent to our server (a Cloudflare Worker) to generate an answer. Along with the question, a device identifier is sent — an anonymous ID generated by iOS (identifierForVendor) that is unique to this app on your device and cannot be used to identify you personally. This ID is used only to apply a daily usage limit and is not linked to any other data. Question text is used solely to generate a response and enforce a wildlife-topics-only restriction; it is not stored for profiling or shared with third parties beyond what's needed to generate the answer.

Push notification token. If you allow notifications, the app registers a device token with Apple's Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging so it can deliver notifications (e.g., about new photographs or collections). This token identifies your device installation for message delivery only.

App preferences. Your theme selection (e.g., Golden Light vs. Nature Green) and similar in-app settings are stored locally on your device only. They are never transmitted anywhere.

What the app does not do

Photographs and content

The photographs displayed in the app are served from our own content storage and are fetched anonymously — no personal data is attached to these requests.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
